I like to read when I have free time,
and so far, I can’t even remember how many books I’ve read in my life, but
there are some books that I would like to introduce to you. There three books
have influenced my life in some different ways.
The first book is The Shack written by Wm. Paul Young. This book changed my attitude toward my
belief. I was an atheistic person, but after reading this book, I’ve started to
believe in God.
The second book is The Swarm: A Novel written
by Frank Schatzing. This book tells a simple, yet often forgotten truth. If
people keep harming nature, sooner or later, nature will have a counterattack
on mankind. The book taught me that if
we want to live on Earth forever, we have to live peacefully with nature,
instead of unilateral destruction.
The third book is Digital Fortress written by Dan Brown. This book taught me that in
today’s society, personal privacy literally means nothing to the government. If
the government wants, they can dig up all the secrets one has, even the person’s
ancestor’s secrets. Thus if we want to keep our personal privacy safe enough,
we have to be extra careful than ever before.
Interesting how you can learn so many things while reading fiction.
ReplyDeleteDigital Fortress sounds very interesting and similar to the book Fahrenheit 451. Both are about the power of the government and how easily they are able to exert this power.
